Teresa Wood is an experienced Forensic Psychologist with a background in working with sex offenders and young offenders more generally, both in the UK and Australia. Teresa has held the positions of Sex Offender Treatment Manager, Head of Psychology & Director of Therapy. Some of these roles included being the architect of developing and implementing a therapeutic community for young offenders within a prison environment. Most recently, in Australia, she worked for 8 years as a Senior Psychologist with Qld Health at CYFOS (Child & Youth Forensic Outreach Service).
She has a particular interest in therapy with offenders and personality disorder and provides treatment, training and consultancy services in relation to men subject to the Dangerous Prisoner (Sex Offender) Act 2003.
Teresa is a member of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
She holds additional post graduate qualifications in Forensic Psychotherapeutic Studies, Clinical Supervision and Consultancy and Child Forensic Studies and has published in her field. Throughout her career she has provided training and supervision to other professionals.
As part of our Forensic Psychology team, Teresa works primarily in the assessment and treatment of high risk offenders with severe personality disorders.
